The owners, architecture enthusiasts, and more particularly of the Mid-century style and the architect philosophized around the project and on the possible creative axes. Make way for the Californian atmosphere ! The layout of the sober and bright volumes follows the land located in the west of the country to end in a cantilever above the rather steep slope towards the river delimiting it. Closed towards the front, suggesting some views through narrow full height windows, the Palm Springs villa is organized into a day body and a night body, the two generously open towards the rear of this vast land with a breathtaking view by glazed facades with absolutely sober and discreet frames in total harmony with the concrete, steel and glass. The day spaces of these few 200 m2 ha- bitables have a ceiling height of 3,50 m, the night spaces of 2,65 m in a logic of interior volumes, airy and light. Large openings bathe the villa in natural light and offer a spectacular view of the surrounding nature. The site was orchestrated flawlessly by the client himself, the architect having been regularly consulted and kept informed of the development of their joint work. The result is sober, elegant, timeless in perfect harmony with the mid-century Californian style.
